About Glock 38

The Glock 38 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Glock, that was introduced to the market in 2005. It is a compact version of the Glock 37. It holds 8 rounds and is chambered in .45 GAP, a cartridge specially made by the request of Glock. The aim was to make an upgrade to the .45 ACP, the .45 GAP has a stronger case head to reduce the possibility of case neck blowouts, and shorter to fit in a more compact handgun. The .45 GAP model operates at a higher pressure than the .45 ACP model to make up for the smaller chamber volume. The standard 38 as well as its newer versions are reliable handguns, very well designed which may not disappoint. Glock 38 as well as many other Glocks are available in different versions, or generations, the shifts from generation to generation are achieved by the improvement of the parts of the gun. All these improvements are upgrading performance, reliability and/or allow for easier handling, operation and recoil minimization.
